I am a co-applicant on LEARN-STAT, which has received a EUR 10,000 LEAD Intramural Research Grant. Led by Jakob Schwerter, the project brings together Maristella Lunardon, Luise von Keyserlingk, and me to study how affective, motivational, metacognitive, and behavioral aspects of self-regulated learning develop during an undergraduate statistics course.

From March 2026 to February 2027, LEARN-STAT combines weekly micro-surveys with digital learning traces and exam data. The project examines how students’ anxiety, confidence, motivation, and monitoring accuracy relate to engagement and performance over time.
