Keynote @ LIKHA Summit 2025
As invited keynote speaker at the LIKHA Summit 2025 of Caraga State University (CSU), I shared our experiences from the Computational Science Hub (CSH) and the AI & Data Science Certificate Hohenheim (AIDAHO).
Our project lowers barriers to computational skills by providing low-threshold infrastructure (GitLab, JupyterHub, auto-grading, web apps) for students in agricultural sciences, business administration, economics, social sciences and natural sciences.
Reflection: CSU’s engineering/natural sciences campus is already strongly engaged with students conducting data science and AI projects together with entrepreneurs, companies and the government - similar to what we initiated with AIDAHO. Nothing new for CSU here… But CSU also has a separate social sciences campus, with few curricular touchpoints with the technical side. Here lies the resonance: our CSH and AIDAHO approach shows how computational methods can be embedded across curricula (also non-CS), helping to bridge the two worlds.
